I'd be careful investing in the 9006/9010 ASR9k chassis; there are
9906/9910 alternatives that will have a longer lifespan (something that
I would expect to matter at 100G and beyond).

A good resource to bone-up on the available SKUs in the ASR9000 range is
the CLUS/CLEUR 'BRKARC-2003.pdf' presentation. A quick google for that
filename, with appropriate filters on time, should help.

e.g.
https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/emea/docs/2020/pdf/BRKARC-2003.pdf

I'm certain that there are similar complexities to the MX range, but I
don't have a simple solution for revising on it. The Juniper website has
a lot of technical information on chassis/RP/SF/LC compatibility, in
fairness.

As for the broader question of Juniper vs. Cisco... I'm sure wars have
been fought over less. There are a lot of business reasons - as opposed
to technical reasons - to pick one over the other, and those often come
to the fore a lot faster. :)
