Isn't the whole schpill from the cloud folk hinging on them offering a
better SLA if you go "direct", vs. the public Internet (of which an
exchange point is part)?
Probably also explains why they charge more, even though, in practice,
the performance is the same, and they are using the very same network
for these "direct" services as they do for their own IP backbone.
