Hi Madhu, Do you mean to say that opening a new browser is not working in JNLP mode?
My default browser is FireFox. Both for Applet and JNLP it opens the browser either in new tab or new window based on the setting in Firefox Tools > Options > Tabs. Please give more information about your set up.
