What sort of cluster of you looking at? RedHat Cluster Suite, Linux-HA, openMosix, etc all have different goals. Wikipedia gives a better overview of the different types of clusters than I could: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_cluster Which of those types are you looking at: HA, load-balancing, performance?
