Hello Folks,
We have Neeraj who is willing to propose for the Quick Scan, and he would
like to know better about the idea. I'm going to describe my vision, but
everyone is invited to do a brainstorm around it.
Quick Scan is supposed to be an easy and quick way to scan and search for
services on the local network, in an application that looks like spotlight
and provides results from a quick standard scan, or a special profile in
case the user specify that. We can make some cache of data to speed up the
quick scan, and the goal is to show the results in real time, and if user
want it can use the result to start a connection in that host/port using a
right click. It is also part of this idea creating the Quick Connect
feature, which is a pop-up menu that appears when a user right click a host,
port or service in order to launch a client using against that host, port or
service.
The main goal is to have a tool which is even faster than the command line
for scanning. Something that users can easily access through a shortcut,
start writing a search term and get the results instantly on his face in a
way that he can also use that data to connect through using any client right
away.
Hpe you understood it properly, and I invite everyone to discuss the idea
further and brainstorm it ;-)
Cheers!

Hello Adriano,
Yes, I am willing to propose for quick scan. I would like to know about it
in detail. How to make buttons and boxes in python if there is an inbuilt
module in python like in Java.
Regards
Neeraj
