make me think about a FAT32 problem . They are some constraints on the fat32 primary partition. I believe it can't be more than 8GB in size, and cannot start beyond the 8th GB of the hard drive. Are you is that case or not ? what is your full hard drive size ? good starting point: FAT32 about 4.5GB in size, starting at 0MB of the disk (exactly: 63th sector, after the MBR). known to work with 80GB and 160GB hard drive.
