I found a webpage just discussing this as well, they have a file for
download that you just add the /S switch to.

Subject: [Unattended] RE: DirectX9 & some Questions

Hello,

First two things: I'm a german and my english writing is not very good, so
excuse me.
Second: This is a really great project!!!

my Solution to install Direct X 9 is very simple: Download the package from
Microsoft, extract it and excange the dxsetup.exe with the old one from
v8.1.
Then you can run it like described for 8.1.
This worked for me without any probs under w2k.

So, i hope this helps.
I've two probs under W2K /Wxp:
first: How could I change the location of the pagefile.sys from drive C: to
drive D: ???
and second: has anybody a script for changing the location of the
IEcache-dir to another drive an dir for all or at last the current user
(Admin)??? I
don't want to have the two thing lying around my systemdrive, for keeping it
small and for minimising the defragmentation on this drive (the tempdir was
easy to change)

Thanx
Helmut Knaack
