The suggestion that B Royles provided is accurate. Alternatively you could
put the drivers in os/xp_pro/I386/\$oem\$/Textmode as I do since we're using
HP DL140 G3s with Adaptec controllers.

You need to have the appropriate drivers for your storage controller in your
install os share. The stage that you've described during the installation is
exactly where it will fail unless the correct drivers are used.

The fact that the first stage (the unattended scripts followed by the initial
blue screen/windows copying files) has happened does not mean that you have
the drivers setup correctly.

The second stage after the reboot is handled entirely by the Windows kernel
(and not the unattended OS you're using (FreeDOS or Linux)) and as such
requires the appropriate drivers for your storage controller.
