I originally had 2 OS directories, XPsp2 and XPsp3. I removed one and thought the problem was solved but it turns out it wasn't. So allow me to start over from the beginning because I am totally baffled.
A little over a week ago I ran Unattended on a Dell laptop and received the following error at the beginning of Windows Setup (immediately after your press "4" to continue out of the initial unattended config, at the point where windows initially copies over install files), "Windows XP requires a hard drive volume with at least 2069MB of free disk space... ...setup was unable to locate such a drive with the required amount of disk space." I thought it may have just been that one laptop having some weird problem with unattended and ended up manually installing everything. However to my surprise, the next time I tried running unattended on a test station I have it experienced the same problem. I have since tried several different versions of the boot disks (I am using DOSboot), tried every different partitioning scheme to guarantee there is in fact enough space, and have tried replacing the "unattended\install" directory several times. The only time I have had it working again (temporarily) was when I ran the unattended installation while still copying over my XPsp2 OS files. I am assuming this is related to the problem with Windows Setup not having enough free disk space. My next step is to re-copy my installation files off the CD. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
