Hello, I�ve published a FAQ that should answer most of the questions asked about Bytext on this list, please start at the homepage: www.bytext.org. Some security issues and solutions are covered in the FAQ, which seems to be a hot topic as of late. Instead of proclaiming �Unicode is not to blame�, it would be a good idea for Unicode to provide some character properties that could help an implementation reduce spoofing. Asmus Freytag has suggested that such an effort would be impractical for Han script, but as an informative property it does not need to be perfect, just useful. Unicode has lots of cross references but they are not categorized well as to what kind of cross reference it is, ie whether it is based on glyph similarity, historic relationship, function, etc.
