> and of course, you will need to add what #ifdef's Perhaps this is the right time to bring up something that has always given me an icky feeling... fxposix.ri and rposix.r are now horribly and ridiculously bloated. My fault, of course; I started out with ifdefs so of course everyone followed! I just assumed that POSIX is POSIX, and any system-dependent stuff could be easily handled that way. Of course life isn't that easy -- hence the masses of ifdefs.
I think what we should do is split up those files in a system-dependent manner. Windows stuff should definitely be separated from Unix -- and perhaps Cygwin from Windows. I think the BSDs and Linux could share a file -- but maybe not. Since we're in the throes of autoconf pain anyway, this would be the right time to make a large sweeping change of the sort I suggest. Any opinions? -s (Or will autoconf allow us to get rid of that mass of ifdefs?) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: eBay Get office equipment for less on eBay! http://adfarm.mediaplex.com/ad/ck/711-11697-6916-5 _______________________________________________ Unicon-group mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/unicon-group
