Most boats... NOT. Car maybe. Small lake boats some. But real boats work this way.
I have spent lots of time on bigger boats. Most all have a circuit breaker on the board and then a switch and start button. Some have an extra set in the engine room for the maint. functions and as a back up. Just train your boat crew. Wife is not that dumb. Some will resist learning. If so then upgrade the wife.
