I have the exact same issues, all the way down to the "kathump-thum". I have decided to go with a "Home Depot" special. My local store has a few units that were special ordered for customers and for one reason or another were not purchased. They have discounted these units and I am going to take my measurements over there this week and get one. I will have to live witht he Aluminum frame, but it is not the end of the world. I have a friend in the elecrto-coating business. I am thinking of taking the new frame apart and sending the pieces to him for a good paint job.
