My son owns a 1975 Uniflite Sport Sedan and it never has had any blisters. ----- Original Message ----- From: "rich" <[email protected]> To: "UnifliteWorld" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 2:16 PM Subject: [UnifliteWorld] Re: Blistering Era clarification
I had read somewhere that the very end of 1975 is when the resin was changed at the request of the navy. Too many boats were catching on fire as a result of incoming in viet nam. I have 1975 and have never had any blisters and I keep it in Northern Idaho where the summers are hot. rich spies On Mar 11, 1:59 pm, Day Six <[email protected]> wrote: > Victor: > > I did quite a bit of research into this before I bought my 42 DC. > What I discovered is that Uniflite changed resins in August of 1974 > and the new resins caused the blister problem.
