That's an interesting comment. I am just over the GVWR as I know it, and so I don't consider my situation to be dangerously negligent, but I understand where you are coming from. As far as insurance goes, it was one of the most unpleasant surprises of my life when, after fixing up my 1968 boat with 2006 engines and all the latest safety gear available, the insurance companies all consider it a (go figure) 1968 boat. Thus the best I could do, for an arm and a leg, was less than total coverage and so I actually am uninsured as far as my boat is concerned.
I will review Florida law since you brought that up. I consider myself to be a safe driver, but I could easily end up in a wreck due to someone else's foolishness, and would hate to be found criminally liable as a result. Frankly this is a new perspective, since I live in the country and I see other farmers and such pulling hay, tractors, you name it with 350 size trucks all the time, and half of these setups weigh more than what I am pulling. I appreciate your comment and I will look into it.
