Hey, listen - sorry if I sounded real snotty; it was a long day at the
office.  In another life, I was an attorney for an insurance company,
defending the company's insureds who'd gotten into accidents, and was
aware of cases like this.  Read your policy very carefully; there may
be a section that references towing and mandates that it has to be
within the tow vehicle's rated capacity for coverage to apply.

As far as the school bus load of second graders goes, a friend of mine
defended a truck driver whose company knowingly overloaded his truck.
Driver lost control and slammed into a bus with a church group.  Huge,
and highly inflammatory news coverage, and the prosecutor was up for
election that year.  Turned it into a media circus going after the
"law and order" vote.  Eventually dealt the murder charge down to
manslaughter-2 (there was never any evidence that the poor boob
actually knew that that actual truck was overloaded, but it was well-
known that it was common practice).  Guy got 6 months jail and 5 years
probation, but the defense costs broke him.
