Has anyone installed a bow/anchor roller on a 31' express cruiser? In order to keep the anchor (22# delta) from hitting the bow, I have to extend the roller out past the bow pretty far. I have a nice piece of 3/4" starboard to use to support the roller, but I still have to cantilever out past the bow a good ways. What concerns me is the torque that will be exerted on the bow deck, even with the largest backing plate I can get under there. Have decks failed as a result of this setup? It looks as though my roller for the anchor will be about as far past the bow as the bolts are behind it. The fiberglass seems pretty solid in this area, about 1/4" thick, but I would sure like some experienced advice on this.
