Kerry, You maybe able to change out the gypsy for a combo chain/rope and get away from the high cost of the chain. I replaced my windlass as the old one was rope only, and I did not sleep well with that one. I got a great deal on a take off from sea rays (lofrans) with new warentee just a few scratches, about half price. If your interested I can send you the outfit that had them. I think I paid 800 to 900 with line and chain and all relays and such. Push button up and down. very sweet unit.
