The boat is listed as a Uniflite on the Boat Brokers literature.  I will
have to check that out some more once I take possession.  It is rather
unusual in that it has a round chine and a funny rectangular keel sticking
down half way along the bottom.  The superstucture looks appropriate.  The
reason I am suspecting wood in the transom is that the surveyor found a soft
spot in the transom so I assumed it was caused by wet wood.  Once again I
will find out more once I have possession and I get a chance to drill into
it and see what I find.  The technique you used sounds good.  If I find wood
I'll give it a try...Thanks a lot.
