Kerry, I agree with you about the visibility from the down station. I specifically tried the down helm when I was in sea trials with my 42. It was great and that is partly why I bought the one I did. I'm not helping you with your question, I know. My aft cabin has the hardtop and my dink is up there (visibility astern sucks when doing the stern-in docking).
