Hello Kent. 
I would love to see your set up. I store my tender off the swim grid and really 
for the amount of times I use it should just be left at home. On the foredeck 
would be a neat way to free up the aft area. 
How is your visibility from the lower helm?

I put an electric hoist and chocks on the fore deck of my 42 DCMY and
carry a 10' hard bottom RIB with a 9.9 Honda.  It would be easier to
get the RIB on and off the stern, but it sure is nice to have it
completely out of the way when I want to use the swim step.  I also
had a new, wider swim step installed and that really is nice.
