On my boat I have one big stern plate and 2 small shaft Zincs.

Inside I have the trim tabs and rudder etc. all wired to the stern
plate.

All from fwd brass through hulls to the engine to ... to the stern
plate on big green wires.

That reminds me I have to refresh a lot of those connections so that
the energy can easily flow out of the boat.  My dive service changes
the Zinc for me as needed.  I dock near big boats and have lots of
current in the surrounding waters so Zinc is fast to dissolve away.

Still better the zinc than the Brass!  Or the Steel!
