Lay the chain out on the dock and measure the mark spacing. You will then
know what the other owner did to mark the depths as the chain plays out.

Monty,

Regardless of what other people will say. It is best that you physically
measure the chain and figure out what the colors are for yourself.

There is no way any other person other than the one who marked your chain
can offer anything more than speculation.

Get a beer and a tape measure and tell us what you find out.

Very best,

Kevin

Monty I have a chart that came with my boat that lists out all the lengths
for the different colors. If you give me until tomorrow I can take a look
at the chart and get back to you.

My anchor chain is marked with red and white..some places just white and
other just red and others red white and red..I know about red, white and
blue markings for 1,2, and 3 but can't seem to find an explanation with just
red and white markings only. I don't have blue marked anywhere on the
chain..thought I would ask the members before I physically measure the
distance between the marks.

Thanks.
