I don't know about the "red, white and blue" chain marking convention.  I used
orange and black.  I'm not good with colors, so I look for contrast when I make
something.

Thanks Kevin,,I know your right in your suggestion. I know about the red 1
white 2 blue 3 and just wanted to know if there was  another system out there
that
would explain my markings...but I will measure it to be sure no matter what
info I gather up...just to be safe.
I did measure the markings last year but do you think I can remember what the
number where..ahaha..so back to the dock.
Thanks again.
Monty.

Monty,

Regardless of what other people will say.  It is best that you physically
measure the chain and figure out what the colors are for yourself.

There is no way any other person other than the one who marked your chain can
offer anything more than speculation.

Get a beer and a tape measure and tell us what you find out.

Very best,

Monty I have a chart that came with my boat that lists out all the lengths for
the different colors.  If you give me until tomorrow I can
take a look at the chart and get back to you.

My anchor chain is marked with red and white..some places just white and other
just red and others red white and red..I know about red, white and blue
markings for 1,2, and 3 but
can’t seem to find an explanation with just red and white markings only. I
don’t have blue marked anywhere on the chain..thought I would ask the members
before I physically measure the distance between the marks.
Thanks.
