I am going to have to jump on the band wagon of having someone else do it. I have tried doing carpeting twice. I ended up with incredibly sore knees from trying to get the carpet pulled nice and tight, bloody hands from the tack strips and an aching back. In the end, the carpeting had waves to it from not stretching it right, and the seams looked miserable. Lesson learned from me. I'll pull an engine and hoist it up through my flybridge before I do carpeting again. Well worth the money to pay someone else in my mind. Sorry to be the "Glass is half empty" guy on this one...just my personal experiences.
