My single engine 27 Express Cruiser is pretty much helpless without tabs.

I have a 1972 28' Sport Sedan which I'm repowering with Crusader
350's.  The boat came with 318's which seemd to move the boat pretty
well.  I could cruise at approx 20 mph at 2800-2900 rpm but burned 20
gph.

Anyone with a similar situation who can tell me if adding trim tabs to
the boat would be worth the effort and cost.
