Shower sump is partially under the floor under the steps going up to the lower

Shower sump? It was also mentioned that it might be an a/c condensation sump,
but often the a/c evaporators just drain their condensate in the bilge.

Due to a leak, I had to pull the carpet (installed by PO) in the office of my
1984 46' Uniflite. Underneath, I discovered a hatch cover. When removed, I
found a small tank roughly 12" x 8" x 6" deep, irregularly shaped. It has two
hoses attached leading aft and 3-wire, light gauge entering the side. I have no
