Keep these two events in mind when planning your upcoming weekend activities.
Both take place in St. Francis de Sales Church, 47th & Springfield Ave.
Sat., May 18 - 7 pm - the St. Francis de Sales Chorale presents its spring
concert entitled "Praises of Mary and the Glories of Heaven". The concert is free,
but any donations will go toward the Organ Restoration Fund.
Sun., May 19 - 3 pm - Musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra present "String
Fling". Music by Mozart, Prokofiev, Kreisler, Saint-Saens and others. There will be
a reception after the concert where you can meet the musicians. Free, but
reservations are strongly encouraged: 215-729-4851. This free concert is an
outgrowth from last July's Philadelphia Orchestra Neighborhood Concert in Clark Park.
