Richard: A footnote to your comments about AIG. Is there anyone who
doesn't know that Hank Greenberg, their head, is one of the most abusive
company heads extant? Brilliant man who actually patented his highly
lucrative insurance brokering procedures but is so explosive and demeaning
to his people that the term, Golden Handcuffs, was invented for the
incredible monetary rewards he gives so that his highest ranking employees
find it difficult if not possible to leave. When I temped there some years
ago, I was told that new employees are told if they want a friend to get a
dog. Greenberg was also known to visit various offices and while there to
go to people's desks and ask what that person had done to save the company
money. Boy, was I glad to leave.

Stay away from AIG, they will do anything not to pay...the executives
revel in being cold and mean (my wife works in the insurance industry).
I've had Keystone through AAA though I've never had to file a claim
(knock on wood). Allstate doesn't want to write any policies in the
city so they raised their prices. One company drop me by just not
cashing my check, again, it was because I'm in Philly.
