And each time I have comparison shopped, they have been at least $100 cheaper.
Philadelphia is a very overpriced market. I always hate to hear New Jersey people complain about their rates and then when we compare what we pay, ours are much higher.
Some things to do to reduce cost:
Take a higher deductible. On car insurance, a $500 deductible saves money and unfortunately the car insurance industry raises your rates with each claim (or with State Farm, they take away the good driver discount -- same thing) so it does not pay to make small claims.
Turn 50. And make sure they give you the discount.
Don't let your teenagers drive your car. Good luck on that one.
