In 50 years we've gone from a strong economy based
on the overwhleming # of families having one income earner
to a society that is more and more comprised
of 2 and 0 income families.

1 income families have become much less common
and that is having the most dramatic impact on our society.
Women from higher social economic backgrounds
are taking better jobs of less affluent men and
if you look at the big picture that is NOT going
to have a good impact over an extended period.

The poor are definitely getting poorer and
same sex marriages will add to the overall effect.

And having so many families with 2 & 0 incomes
is also having a very negative effect on kids and
society as a whole.

Not to mention the lack of quality time
for the family dog !!!

Like I said below:

:I guess a few people reading this are going to fly off the handle and I
really don't care. What I am asking for is a scholarly and documented
response. I don't think because I spend a few days a week working with "poor
people" that I know everything.

Show me what you got and if I'm wrong I'm OK with that. I get to learn
something."

If you just want to call people names I'm not interested. Show me where the
poor got poorer. Show me the numbers. All you showed me here is nothing.
