I would take the remark about the Phila. Police having no record of the incident as an
indication of the very poor quality of reporting in the Drexel Triangle. The story
was carried on all the major local news shows the morning after it happened, and the
Action news story includes a quote from Lt. Chitwood
(http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/news/042404_nw_drexelshooting.html).

The part I find most interesting thing about this story is that the Philadelphia
Police "said they had no records about the incident."

And this: "Taurus .357 Magnum revolver"

That UCD ambassador is lucky to be alive.

Former Marine charged with assault

A Drexel student alledgedly shot at a University City District security official April
23.

Steve Greene was on a bike patrol shortly after 1 a.m. riding east on Powelton Avenue
near 32nd Street when a bullet was fired in his direction. Greene was not injured.

Andrew Hallett, a Drexel student, was arrested in connection ...

Hallett, a 22-year-old resident of Chester County, is enrolled as a junior majoring in
business administration. Hallett is also a member of the Alpha Pi Lambda fraternity,
which lost recognition from Drexel in February. Hallett served in Iraq as a corporal
in the Marine Corps. While attached to the 4th Infantry Division, he saw combat in
"battle hardened areas" such as Al-Nasiriya and Tikrit, according to the Alpha Pi
Lambda 2003 Undergraduate News Letter...

Several attempts were made by The Triangle to get in touch with the Philadelphia
Police Department to obtain information about the status of the investigation and to
confirm the location of and charges against Hallett; however, several officials in the
department said they had no records about the incident...
