Misguided as it may be ... I don't think I'm being either cynical or de-constructive.

The trash and the dogs really piss me off. Especially since I believe that no one else cares. I'd like to write what I really think about the trash situation and the unfriendly ambassadors, but then people would lable me a "racist."

I'm STILL tempted to drop laxative doggie treats throughout "the bowl."

I'm going to go take a chill pill. Excuse me for getting irate.

Pardon me, but this is really misguided.

We live adjacent to the park. Before the first Party in the Park, and the
outside maintenance it made possible, trash collections were often two or
three weeks apart, even in the summer. Grass routinely grew a foot tall
between mowings. We and our neighbors picked up the trash in the
playground and along 43d Street, and had no problem filling a few trash
bags every weekend.

Clark Park is vastly more pleasant and usable for EVERYONE because of the
Party in the Park. If that means that those of us with the ability to pay
for tickets are making possible greater enjoyment of the park for everyone,
that's fine with me.

I would invite Mr. Winkler to do something constructive. How about a
donation toward the new playground equipment? How about participating in
tree plantings and clean-ups?

Cynical and divisive complaints are not constructive.

come out and support the event. What he really means to say is the liberal
white elite who has the money to support the event.

Tony also speaks of expanded maintenance what about regular maintenance?
I was walking through Clark Park this morning and noticed that there were
trash cans overflowing with refuse left over from this weekend. This is the
fourth week now that the park has been strewn with trash left over from the
weekend. <
