Ah. The tacit "motherhood" assumption that they really have historic merit.
When there's a strong argument to support the contention that "district
designation" puts many buildings under the regulatory control of a Commission
and the special interest groups who self-righteously support it, whose excesses
were clearly and explicitly recognized by both Common Pleas and Commonwealth
Court, when they don't have any historic merit at all. This perversion of the
original intent of the preservation ordinance actually cheapens our historical
heritage. Al
