I heard this morning on NPR that the occupant of the car was wanted in connection with a kidnapping. police saw a car matching the description of one leaving the scene of a double kidnapping. They persued, the car sped off, after a long chase, the car crashed on i95, the driver was killed, and they discovered he wasn't the kidnapper -- just someone else who REALLY didn't want to be stopped by the police for some reason.

It was on the 11 o'clock news that there was a stolen car chase starting in SW Philadelphia that proceeded through our locale and ended (I'm not sure, but they got the guy.)
