As I heard it, the honchos at Kentucky Fried Chicken found out via market research that the organization had been taking a hit because the public was staying away from "Fried."
So, instead of changing the recipes or the menus, they just changed the name. Now they're KFC.
Well, look on the bright side. The UCD street cleaning crew gets job security around campus picking up chicken bones. And, if you don't think the curb lawns are high density chicken bone disposal areas, you don't walk a dog around town.
