True, but it is required, by a rule passed at a Membership Meeting in 2003, that FoCP contact the UC Review. So FoCP regularly sends press releases to the UC Review announcing its Membership Meetings and Board Meetings.
However, as Review Editor Bob Christian has recently pointed out in print, no newspaper is required to publish any news release that is sent it. FoCP is grateful whenever we get a mention in the Review but it is never FoCP's responsibility if it doesn't get a mention. FoCP therefore relies on multiple other notices to perform this useful task. That includes posters on bulletin boards in and around the park, and notices on UC-list. That's why everyone now reading this thread has been already informed of the upcoming meeting. If you aren't an FoCP Member yourself, but are curious about the facts of the North Park Redesign, ask a friend or neighbor who is a Member. The Winter issue of the FoCP Newsletter carries a detailed discussion of the issues which they can share with you. -- Tony West Ross wrote: Dude, have you been smoking the black fungus of Persia again? I just reread the FOCP bylaws, from the website, dated October 2006. There is absolutely NO mention of the "UC Review" in those bylaws. NONE. Unless the Imperial Space Queen Vondra zapped it out of my computer, the bylaws contain NO (zip-zilch-zot) reference to this "UC Review" you're going on about at length.
