I don't see this letter damages UCHS. It merely lays out the
organization's position. If Stewart couldn't do this much,
she wouldn't make much of an association president, would
she now? It turns out she can indeed do this much; that's
good news for UCHS Membership.
If it's true that UCHS sometimes will consider relaxing
these ironclad historic regulations, that's very good news
for most ordinary home-owners around here: Even if your
place has been condemned as "historic", there should be a
way out that really works when it is needed.

steward's letter doesn't merely lay out uchs's current
public position, it establishes that uchs did not lay out a
public position earlier this summer when lussenhop attempted
to delist the mansion. her letter damages uchs's credibility.
