In this neighborhood, is there some institution that provides studios for amateur rock bands?
To my horror, students in one of the neighboring rowhouses now have not one, but TWO, rock bands practicing on the premises. They seem to be nice kids and have tried to reduce the impact by practicing in the basement, but, still, depending on what they are playing, the loud reverberations from the percussion and base notes really penetrate my place -- all the way up to the second floor. It is very annoying -- and at times when I am trying to sleep, it is disruptive and unpleasant. It seems to me that in an arts-centric neighborhood like UCity, there should be places that rent out studios for rock bands. If there were such, I would want to direct the neighbors to take their instruments to such places and rock where they would not be disturbing the peace -- and my peace of mind.
