There must be some mechanism by which an organization can obtain coverage for a one-off event. If there is, we can add it to our Large Events FAQ so people can continue to hold events in the park.

In 2002, the required one million dollar plan would have cost at least $1000 for a 1 day event.

But Brian, what your FOCP buddies really want is the hearing to determine the number of police and EMT technicians that festivals will be billed for. This might cost many thousands.

Remember, according to the FOCP leaders you replaced some years ago, all non Spruce Hill events are riots leading to rapes, etc. Some of your buddies are just waiting for the chance to begin the lies again to make the costs approach many thousands.

And let's be honest with the people. Your buddies are ruthless, but you FOCP clowns didn't dig up the Fairmount Park rule to misuse. This was all developed by the UCD Quality of Life Task Force and Cindi was just "the community" pushing for the Penn takeover. You all believed that your ingratiating relationship with UCD would give you personal power in the neighborhood, and none of you seemed to understand that you were simply turning the park over to Penn control. Has it become clear that you have all become irrelevant now that Penn Real Estate no longer needs you?

I want people to recognize how ruthless civic association leaders can be, but let's give credit to the puppet masters for forming the agenda behind the scenes. Now, that the reality of privatization seems to be sinking in, I hope you regret your own role.

I can tell that you now seem to understand and regret the coming end of these festivals. And it's now clear that all of the neighborhoods in the city are gonna be screwed, not just the people of Clark Park.

You should have believed me rather than fast Eddie and Tony when I always told all of you the truth and saw through the UCD agenda. FOCP owes all the people of Philadelphia an apology.
