You wanted to insult Mike Van Helder, and you did this by insinuating that he's gay. Clearly, you see homosexuality as something ugly and shameful. Don't try to torture this into anything but what it is: your loathing of gay people.
You may not have liked Mike's line about truckstop bathrooms, but it wasn't a _slur against gay people_.
