Michael's right, the case only accepts laptop drives. So you will have to keep your NAS or buy an USB2 enclosure for your 3.5'' drive (a good choice is the Argosy HD360U http://www.argosy.com.tw/product/hd360u.htm). If you buy a VIA EPIA MEII 6000, you have a Compact Flash slot, so you could install Linux on a CF card.
Also, consider buying at least 512MB memory for smooth operations (especially considering the very cheap price these days). For the rest, Fedora FC3 or FC4 will install like a charm.
