All of which goes to reinforce the point I made in a (long & boring) thread on this very topic last year... apart from the RPM-based distros, Linux Slimserver is for geeks only! I.e. not for general consumption. That's why I went back to RH (well, FC4 actually) - just for easy slimserver upgradeability.
Just step back a tad, and take a look at those two (Ubuntu & Deb) 'instructions', above! Friendly, huh?! I mean, sterling work guys. But, how much time did that take you (each)? What mods will you need to make, this time next year, after dependency hell has got you (again)? Nope, until there's a .deb, I'll stick with RPM-based. (Yum repository Slimserver would be even nicer, though.)
