Time for me to eat my words.  Booo hoo hoo! :-P

I'm still getting the occasional drop out and audio synchronisation
issue (catching up by playing content at higher speed).

I really don't know what to do now, other than buy a copy of Windows
Server 2003 and install it on my server instead of Ubuntu.

I modified the mplayer.sh script as follows to ensure that my version
of mplayer (located in the same directory) is used :
