Daniel, You hit the nail on the head. I'm guessing Buffalo just wants their devices to be seen as home NAS.
I've got the 160, too. Managed to get Twonky running on it fine but just cannot get Slimserver to work. Would appreciate any hints you can provide. I believe you'd indicated in another reply here that you'd gotten it to work on your LSII. Not sure if I'm even in the right place but when I try to do ./slimserver.pl I get runtime errors about databases not being found. I have actually deleted/renamed some of those per the instructions on the Linkstation.wiki but still doesn't run. Help?!
