But what are you streaming *to*? (typo in my previous reply). If you're streaming to a SB1, you'll need to decode the flac. If you're streaming as mp3, you'll need to decode the flac and reencode to mp3. If you're bandwidth-limiting, you'll need to decode the flac and reencode to mp3. Only if you're streaming flac to an SB2/3 or softsqueeze without bandwidth-limiting will you not need the flac program.
