Can I mount the SlimCD ISO file on a virtual drive and achieve the same thing as you are suggesting with vmware
Exactly.
- I confess I don't quite understand what the vmware thing is all about so not sure how simple it would be for me to use.
VMWare allows you to run a system within your existing environment: boot SlimCD (or any Linux or another Windows) in a window while you're working in Windows as usually.
I'm developping SlimCD in VMWare: I can run DSL (where I'm doing the SlimCD development) and my SlimCD test machine while developing Java in Windows all at the same time. Boot these machines independantly etc.
The virtual drive will make less noise than a CD drive won't it?
Of course, as it's only a file on your harddisk. -- Michael ----------------------------------------------------------- Help translate SlimServer by using the SlimString Translation Helper (http://www.herger.net/slim/) _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
