Yep, that's the route I could have taken, but I guess I'll abandon the package for now and go back to a stable nightly build.
See also the thread on the 6.5 builds -- obviously everything is a little shaky at the moment. I did kinda assume that the package would be be more stable than the nightly builds, but this was a bit dumb considering that the package is built from them. Here's a thought: why not release the Debian package only 'now and then'? It makes little sense building debs from an unstable nightly build, doesn't it? If people really want the latest and greatest, then they can download the nightlies, but I think people using the deb package expect it to be somehow more stable than these builds. Or: release the stable deb packages under 'stable' and the nightly builds under 'unstable'? At the moment this doesn't seem to be the case: 6.5 is being released as stable, which it isn't, whilst 6.2 is being released under testing/unstable, and AFAIK, 6.2 is more stable than 6.5 at the moment :=) Just my 0.02, Ed -- nalfeshnee ------------------------------------------------------------------------ nalfeshnee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5523 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20603 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
