Hi guys!

Thanks for all the suggestions - I knew I'd get some!  I'm not sure
gparted is going to help - below is the table (unformatted) showing
'supported operations' - it appears that the current NTFS format is
only 'detected'.  No ability to resize in order to create a FAT32
partition, which means wiping the drive, which puts me back at square
one!  Am I not reading this correctly?

As for the convert command, doesn't that wipe the data from the drive
as well?

I'm starting to think I should just go get a new drive and a USB
enclosure, so I can just format the drive FAT32 from scratch and be
done. I think there's something funny with this out-of-the-box Maxtor
OneTouch thing - and they're support wasn't overly helpful either.  (I
just hate spending money.....)
Any other ideas?
