That file doesn't exist on my system. I did a full search from root for all files starting with 'slimserver' and got the following: /var/lock/subsys/slimserver /var/spool/mail/slimserver /tmp/slimserver.log /etc/sysconfig/slimserver /etc/rc.d/init.d/slimserver /etc/slimserver.conf /usr/local/slimserver /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Bagpuss/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Dark/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Default/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Default2/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/EN/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Fishbone/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Fishbone/slimserver_gray.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Fishbone/slimserver_tan.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Handheld/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Moser/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/NBMU/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Purple/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/Touch/slimserver.css /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/xml/html/slimserver_xml.dtd /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/xmlTelCanto/html/slimserver_xml.dtd /usr/local/slimserver/usr/local/slimserver /usr/local/slimserver/slimserversql.db /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/MySQL/slimserver /usr/local/slimserver/slimserver.pl /usr/local/slimserver/MySQL/slimserver As far as the RPM is concerned, I think my point has been misunderstood. Files that are created either at installation OR at run time should be removed when doing an rpm -e. There shouldn't be files (like this mysterious slimserver.pref) which hang around after rpm -e unless they are renamed something like slimserver.pref.rpmsave so they won't interfere if the package is reinstalled. I'm just trying to help, and trying to figure out what it is in this downgrade that isn't working. It's either a firmware problem, or a problem with the RPM files. Just a guess. -- rramstad ------------------------------------------------------------------------ rramstad's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=326 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27663 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
